How it Works

If you are a Senior, we'd like to hear from you!
If you are a friend or relative of a Senior, this is a great way to spend some time together - interview them!
We know that there is much to learn from those who came before us. Stories often get passed orally from generation to generation, and sadly may become lost or forgotten over the years.
Senior Share Project is a Web Log, or “blog.” This online community will be a way for you to archive your memories, and hand them down for the enjoyment of your own families and future generations. Senior Share Project is a public site,
so anyone using the internet will be able to access your stories, and leave comments, if they wish.
We want to know what life was like for you, “Back then,” and we think the young people of today and tomorrow will benefit by learning lessons from you - through your tales, lessons you learned, and experiences unique to your era, such as the Great Depression, WWII, or the assassination of President Kennedy, just to name a few.

“How do I share my story?”

Talk to us briefly (3-5 paragraphs, or 500 words) about one of the following topics:

•Life Lesson: What Advice I Would Give to Younger Folks
•The Best Advice I’ve Ever Received, and from Whom
•A Story from “Back Then” - On the Farm; In the City;  During the Depression; etc.
•What Type of Work My Family Did
•Veteran Stories / Tales of War, Training, Camaraderie, etc.
•Raising My Children.
•My Favorite ___________ (Book, Movie, Song, Quote, Entertainer, TV or Radio Show, Toy, Pet, etc.) Tell us why it was your favorite.
•What I Miss Most, and Why.
•A Confession: Something I've Never Told Anyone ... Until Now. (You may remain anonymous if you choose)
•Any other topic you'd like to share.

Not sure where to start? Try our 5 Question Interview:

1. What's your name?
2. Would you like to tell us your age?
3. So that means you were born in what year? (or era)
4. What was going on in the world when you were born/when you were young?
5. Where did you grow up?

If you’re not a Senior, Share a Tribute:
Memorialize a Senior who’s made an impact in your life.
